Dialpro Taps Tyler To Take Over Helm

By Jason Lee Miller

nterprise voice messaging company Dialpro Northwest Inc. was acquired by software and telecommunications industry executive Dennis R. Tyler. Tyler, taking over for the retiring owners and founders. He will serve as president and chief executive officer.

The company says Dialpro will continue to provide the same services and support under the new management.

"Our first priority is to continue servicing our customers' needs as before, while finding ways to provide additional value-added services," said Tyler. "Dialpro has a great reputation for service and support that has made it one of the leading providers in enterprise voice messaging. That's what attracted me to the company in the first place."

Tyler is a software and telecom veteran, with a long history in sales and business development. His milieu is identifying and incorporating new technologies into enterprise voice messaging, such as collaboration, mobility and speech enabled services.

Prior to acquiring Dialpro, Tyler worked with companies like Executone Information Systems, Tri-Tec, Active Voice, and AVAYA. In his new role with the company, Tyler will focus on unified communications, the technology of combining communication methods like voice mail, email and fax through a common interface.

Wanna wallet stuffed with $10,000?

According to market research firm Radicati Inc., the market for unified communications will reach $10 billion a year and more than 100 million users by 2008. Unified communications, especially targeted toward mobile work forces, aims at increasing productivity and bettering customer response, by reducing the time required to respond to electronic communications.

"Dialpro's excellent reputation for meeting the voice messaging needs of enterprises, combined with my background in unified communications, offers the company the opportunity to extend its services into this important market," said Tyler.

"With Dialpro, I plan to build and extend upon its existing knowledgebase by bringing my particular expertise in new technologies for enterprise communications."

The former principals of Dialpro Northwest said they had a demanding set of criteria for evaluating possible successors, which they felt that were fulfilled by Tyler.

"Among our criteria was a successor whose business plan would ensure the continuation of the value-added principles to which we subscribed, and at the same time had the dedication to migrating our loyal customer base to next-generation solutions and technologies," said Marilyn Knutson, co-founder and former president of Dialpro Northwest.
