VoIP Gets A Big Business Nudge

A report from Infonetics Research projects sales increasing to $19.9 billion in 2009, as demand from businesses increases. And competition to provide hardware to businesses will be very competitive. Cisco, which recently worked with a British integrator to deploy 8,500 of its IP phones to British Airways, according to an InfoWorld report. Network device vendor Juniper Networks, which has begun a relationship with Avaya, wants to integrate VoIP into its infrastructure offerings. 3Com has begun to offer solutions for security and service configuration. Troubleshooting gets some help from Fluke Networks, a leading manufacturer of diagnostic equipment. The company demonstrated a new testing tool, NetTool VoIP, at the recently concluded Interop 2005 conference.
